  1. What will Jesseville offer my Child?

Jesseville will offer your child qualitative and holistic education that will make him/her acquire adequate knowledge and contribute to our changing world through self-confidence, self-reliance and other core values instilled in them.

 

  1. What is the admission procedure?

An admission form is obtained from the school through the admin secretary and an entrance examination will be conducted. Successful candidates shall proceed for an oral interview after which the candidates shall be given an acceptance letter and will be placed appropriately. Admission forms can also be downloaded online from the school’s website.

 

  1. How much religion is taught in the curriculum?

The two major religions in Nigeria; Christian Religion Studies (CRS) and Islamic Religion Studies (IRS) are taught in the school by professionals in the field of study.

 

  1. What is your class size?

We have standard classrooms and laboratories as specified by the regulatory agencies on the establishment of schools for all our Pupils and Students from Nursery, Primary and Secondary Sections.

 

  1. What are your school fees?

Our School fees are moderate and affordable. Although, they vary from one class to another depending on the class your ward is admitted to. (Creche, Nursery, Primary and Secondary).

 

  1. What is the language of instruction?

English language and French language are the two major languages of instruction in our school. These languages are the only official languages that are spoken by both teachers and students.

 

  1. Does your school teach Music?

We do not only teach music, but we educate our learners on musical instruments e.g Piano, Recorder, Percussion, Flute, Guitar, Saxophone e.t.c. This will enable them improve their skills both mentally and psychologically.

 

  1. What colours are your school uniforms?

The Nursery and primary sections wear white shirts and ash shorts/skirts with a jacket for boys/girls respectively. While the secondary school students wear white shirts and ox blood trousers/skirts with a jacket for boys/girls respectively.

 

  1. Do you take overseas students?

We are obliged to train young learners and develop their skills morally and academically, irrespective of their race, background and religion. Besides, we have professional, qualified and experienced teachers who can handle the situation as soon as the need arises.

 

  1. Does your school offer extra-curricular activities?

Aside the general subjects offered in the school, the learners also have the advantage of being exposed to Sporting activities, Music, Clubs and Societies like, Home makers, Jet club, Press club, Drama/debating club, Young reader’s club, Consumer and Protection club e.t.c.

 

  1. Do you have Support Staff?

Yes we do.

 

  1. What classes do you admit into?

We admit into all classes, ranging from Creche, Nursery, Primary, Junior and Senior Secondary classes.

 

  1. What is the age requirement for admission?

Any candidate, seeking admission into Jesseville Academy Secondary School, must have celebrated his/her 9th birthday before resumption in September. But for the primary section, placement is based on the academic performance of the candidate(s).

 

  1. Do you admit students who are not yet in Primary (Basic/grade) 6?

Yes we do. ‘check the response in question 12 above for details’.

 

  1. How many current enrollments?

The cardinality of our learners increases on daily bases. Non-withstanding, we have approximately 100 students.

 

  1. How many qualified staff?

The School has about 25 qualified members of staff.

 

  1. How many clubs and activities do you have?

We have as many as possible clubs and activities in the school, based on the needs of the learners. Such as Jet club, Home makers club, Drama and debating club, Consumer and Protection club, Arts and cultural club etc.

 

  1. How many active PTA members do you have?

Most of our PTA members are very active, devoted and committed to their roles and responsibilities in bringing up the learners. Moreover we both work together as stakeholders to achieve a common goal.
